Join us for the KJazz Blues Bash on Friday, September 8th at 8pm at The Miracle Theater in Inglewood. Limited pairs of VIP tickets are available for a donation of $280. VIP tickets are for the front of the theatre and include access to a VIP reception with beer, wine, and soda, along with a donation to KJazz.
Multi-award-winning artist Mud Morganfield is an established star in the world of blues music. The eldest son of the legendary Muddy Waters, Mud was brought up surrounded by many of the finest musicians in the blues. Mud’s singing is firmly rooted in the tradition of Chicago blues, but he is also a writer of great new songs and he is backed by some of the best musicians playing today. He is highly regarded by critics and artists such as Buddy Guy and Jools Holland.
Jackie Venson is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist from Austin, Texas. She graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2011. Venson has released four studio albums, The Light In Me (2014), Joy (2019), Vintage Machine (2020) and Love Transcends (2021). In addition to four studio albums, Venson has also released 4 live albums, Live at Strange Brew (2016) Live in Texas (2020), Jackie Venson Live at Austin City Limits and Joy Alive (2021).
Sean Lane is a unique blues artist originally from Louisiana who plays solo-acoustic Delta style blues, solo-electric Hill Country blues, and fronts a four piece band; Sean Lane & The Hellhounds. Writing original songs with an old-time traditional sound is his hallmark, specializing in slide guitar and open tunings. For the last 25 years he has traveled all across the U.S. performing and most recently lecturing with his one man show called "A Musical History of the Blues”. Sean’s music is steeped in tradition but always innovative, raw and distinctive.
